On Thursday 1 May 2025, Team ESco joined the buzz at the Memcom Conference – our first time at this flagship event for membership sector leaders, and what a brilliant day it was.
Memcom is the UK’s premier hub for senior leaders across professional bodies, trade associations, and the wider not-for-profit world. Their mission? To connect the dots between innovation, collaboration and community – and this year’s theme, Championing Professionalism, set the tone for a day packed with fresh ideas, strategic insight, and future-focused conversations.
Exhibiting at Memcom felt like a natural next step for us, following our exciting work in onboarding The Countryside Alliance Foundation to our full-service subscription and data management solution. A special thank you goes to Lawrence Tribe-Endt and Lottie Clinch from the Foundation who joined us on the day – it was a pleasure to have you there alongside us. You can read more about the work we completed for The Countryside Alliance Foundation here.
Flying the ESco flag were Louise, Alistair, and Rob, who spent the day chatting to senior membership professionals, sharing how ESco can support ambitious organisations with the heavy-lifting behind the scenes – from data strategy and tech delivery to fulfilment, customer service and reporting – so they can stay focused on growing their impact.
The sessions were as thoughtful as they were forward-thinking. From digital transformation to sustainability and hyper-personalisation, the conference was full of practical insight. A standout moment was the closing panel discussion which was spent imagining what membership will look like ten years from now. It explored a compelling dynamic: the universal human need to belong versus the rising expectation for personalised experiences. Spoiler alert – it’s not either/or. Membership organisations will need a blend of both in order to stay relevant and resilient – exactly the kind of challenge we love helping our clients untangle.
For us, the day was a great chance to connect, learn, and reaffirm just how much we can offer this exciting, mission-led sector. We’re proud to be supporting more membership organisations – and we hope to see you at the next event.
