ESco Connect 2023
On Friday 10 November, ESco Connect made a return for 2023 and Team ESco made their way down to a brand-new venue, FORA Spitalfields, ahead of a highly anticipated event.
The day was kick-started with a quick sign-in and a caffeine pit-stop, with teas and coffees galore in an ESco branded travel mug for our guests to enjoy. Much like any ESco Connect, everyone was then brought together for a big welcome from Susan and Louise, who laid out the plan for the day. This was followed with a series of talks from Team ESco, looking back on our last eighteen months and everything we’ve been up to – from eCommerce updates to new clients.
We would like to take this opportunity to once again offer our greatest thanks to our two fabulous guest speakers from the morning session; Steve Price, Subscription Consultant & Business Partner at Atlas, for an engaging talk on Subscriptions Metrics That Matter and Debbie Stenning, CEO at Database Vision, for her Kelsey Media case study on Single Customer View.
After the morning break, where our guests were fuelled with more tea, coffee and breakfast, we jumped straight back in with a rundown of all the latest Trends in the Subscription Economy from ESco’s very own Connor Smith and Al-fee Phelps.
Following this and back by popular demand was our panel session of four “Publishing Powerhouses” giving us their view from the top – and answering questions generated entirely by AI. Another huge thank you to Elliot Wellsteed-Crook, Jayne Lewis-Orr, Lindsey Pearson and Catriona Bolger for your invaluable insight into the industry.
Once our guests had finished a delicious hot lunch, we dived straight back in with the final part of the day. Alistair started with a roadmap for ESco’s next eighteen months, before our guests split into three groups for roundtable sessions. In true ESco style, we rounded off the day in celebration with glasses of prosecco all round and a cheers to what has been – as well as what’s to come, as the festive season quickly approaches.
