At Christmas time…

It's the time for gift campaigns, seasonal offers and black Friday
The time for cyber Monday, festive lunches, the Christmas play,
For the mother of all food shops, early mornings, late nights
To sit with whisky in hand - 103 Christmas cards to write.

The December page on the calendar is like a mad patchwork throw
Heigh-ho, heigh-ho, off to every function/party/commitment we go…
On to the supermarket we race to join the three mile line
Laden with brussel sprouts, mince pies & 17 litres of mulled wine

There are shopping lists, to-do lists, deadlines to meet
The hardest part? Nearly over - soon time to put up your feet.
So let's slow it all down and breath it all in
Take time to enjoy it, and let Christmas begin.

Christmas has been described as "Love in action".

And that is certainly something we want to be part of.

So, in the true spirit of Christmas, we have donated to a special charity who really do recognise that Christmas IS Love in action - Changing Pathways.

Changing Pathways is a local charity in Essex dedicated to providing support to victims of Domestic Abuse and Stalking. They support two refuges with over 46 bed spaces as well as several large outreach projects covering Harlow, Basildon, Rochford and Thurrock, to name a few. At this time of the year, donations make such a big difference in the lives of the families they support. Changing Pathways said…

"We have noticed this year it has been especially important to be able to provide not only gifts but food for our families as many are living well below the poverty line. Last week alone we were able to hand out over 30 Santa Sacks of gifts and food thanks to kind donations from organisations such as yours. Thank you so much ESco and friends for your kindness and support, it truly means the world to our clients".
