IT Team Manager

ESco is a publishing services bureau with over 35 years of experience, working for some of the UK's most well-known publishers. As the IT Team Manager you will be responsible for ESco's organisation-wide systems along with managing the IT team. You’ll have a sound knowledge of IT and emerging technologies, strong interpersonal and leadership skills.

Your Duties

  • Management of team of eight IT Team members
  • Working with all internal depts to improve processes
  • Enabling cross team liaison including accurate, full and timely briefs
  • Overseeing and determining timeframes for major IT projects for both client and ESco
  • Provide strategic direction for our IT team to drive the business forwards
  • Bringing fresh ideas and solutions
  • Providing direction for IT team members including designing training programs and workshops for staff
  • Identifying opportunities for team training and skills advancement

Who are you?

  • Experienced in people management with strong leadership skills and an approachable nature
  • Experience of project management to identify objectives, meet deadlines and budgets
  • Able to deal with the day to day as well as the bigger picture
  • Have sound knowledge of SQL and general infrastructure (no hands on requirement however)
  • Able to communicate complex technical ideas to a non-technical audience
  • A willingness to be flexible and carry out extra duties outside normal role
  • Own transport due to our beautiful rural location

  • Monday to Friday (40 hours per week) normal hours would be 8.30 am to 5.30pm with 1 hour for lunch (except during busy periods when flexible hours will be required)
