Digital Project and Website Manager

ESco is a passionate publishing & subscription services bureau working for some of the UK’s most prestigious magazine publishers.

As a Project Manager, you will take ownership of large-scale data and website projects and the technical delivery of website platform and feature enhancements on behalf of our publisher clients working with our internal team and our external consultancy partners.

Duties that are included are…

Project management

  • Review of business requirements, collating details for brief and working with internal/external teams to define and scope project and any developments
  • Project or development quotation to Account Management Team and client including any third-party costings
  • Carry out planning - this will include setting goals and objectives, defining roles and producing schedules and timelines for tasks - in accordance with the needs of your client or internal requirements
  • Manage the project - which includes coordinating the project team to keep them on track and keeping the project on budget
  • Identify and manage risks to ensure delivery is on time
  • Report regularly to management and the client
  • Close the project - including evaluating successes and challenges to enhance learning for your next project

Website management

  • Being responsible for ESco’s web platform ensuring development work is correctly prioritised and meeting the needs of the business and clients
  • Providing support, ideas and best practice for ESco’s internal Account Management Team relating to the platform
  • Occasional first line support for platform changes
  • New site setup and site amends
  • HTML and CSS email setup

A suitable candidate will…

  • Have experience in web development, single customer view and e-commerce
  • Have experience of managing projects with excellent communication skills, a high standard of literacy and good command of the English language
  • Have good working knowledge of IIS (Internet Information Services), .NET, SQL, HTML and CSS and an aptitude to learn new software systems
  • Be diligent, conscientious and well organised with good time management skills
  • Be a strong problem solver with excellent attention to detail
  • Have a team player attitude with the ability to work under pressure using their own initiative
  • Have the ability to multi-task and manage their own workload, prioritising accordingly
  • Enjoy working in a fast-paced and sometimes pressured environment
  • Have their own transport due to rural location of ESco’s offices

  • Monday to Friday
  • 40 hours per week
  • Normal hours would be 9.00 am to 5.30pm with 30 minutes for lunch (except during busy periods when flexible hours will be required)
