Fieldsports Press Ltd completes the migration of Future’s shooting brands

Fieldsports Press Ltd has made a second acquisition in quick succession, now purchasing a series of shooting brands from Future PLC, including the 141-year-old weekly Shooting Times & Country Magazine and the 46-year-old monthly title Sporting Gun.

When ESco and Fieldsports Press first started working together in 2020, it was agreed that ESco would look after one flagship title and website, with the promise from Simon Barr, CEO, that he had big plans to grow. Having acquired several new titles earlier this year to add to their ever-growing portfolio, these two new brands have complemented their existing product base, which also includes seven brand acquisitions last year.

As part of the acquisition of these new brands, we converted Shooting Times and Sporting Gun into one of our existing eCommerce sites. From this point, subscribers will be able to benefit from our high-quality customer service team, and Fieldsports will receive ESco’s full subscriptions service for their new titles: an attentive account management team, advanced analytical reporting, award-winning eCommerce, and renowned renewals service.

Fieldsports continues to review their titles, increase subscriber retention, and implement win-back campaigns, and we look forward to further supporting them with their impressive brand offering.
