We were thrilled to join the buzz at the ACE Subscriptions Seminar on 14 November 2025 – a gathering of leaders from across the publishing and subscription world. The event, sponsored by FT Strategies and hosted by Abi Spooner of Atlas, delivered a rich agenda full of insight, discussion and fresh thinking.

Flying the ESco flag were Louise McHale (Managing Director), Alistair Wood (Strategic Account Director) and Alice Ablitt (Client Relationship Manager).

Speakers throughout the day underlined just how fast the subscription landscape is evolving; it’s becoming smarter, more creative and, above all, more human. A recurring theme throughout the day was the rising importance of trust and transparency, showing how the best subscription strategies aren’t built on funnel‑optimisation alone, but on honest relationships and clear value.

Highlights of the discussions included pricing, onboarding, content experiences and cancellation journeys. From those open conversations, a clear message emerged: success comes when you meet people where they are, with value that connects meaningfully. And whether the voice comes from creators, journalists or brands themselves, authenticity remains the secret sauce for engagement, acquisition and long-term retention.

The seminar proved to be a brilliant opportunity for ESco’s team to connect with peers, trade stories and explore the trends shaping the future of subscriptions so we can continue to support our clients. ACE closed by thanking everyone involved – with an extra special nod to Abi Spooner and FT Strategies.

We were delighted to be part of such an inspiring, energising day. We’re looking forward to putting what we learned into action and helping our clients build subscription offerings that feel human, fair and future-facing.
