Subscription Management

This service, offered to publishers, includes holding and maintaining the circulation records for magazines. The records can relate to paid or free subscriptions (controlled circulations) and because publishers have different requirements, can involve holding quite complex demographic information or just the bare necessities.

Subscription and controlled circulation files are maintained on the same dedicated database as our mail order processing, ensuring complete integration of clients' databases. Subscription orders are received by telephone, fax, email, post and via our exclusive subscriptions webshop, which provides each client with a branded webpage to link to from their own site, and captures orders in a PAF verified format which integrates directly onto our subscriptions system.

Banking is completed direct to each client’s bank accounts ensuring you receive your sales revenue as quickly as possible. Credit cards are processed daily through an automated authentication service with transaction files transferred to the merchant banks every night. ESco is a BACS approved bureau, with the capacity to process your Direct Debits as and when you choose.

Magazine distribution information is provided to the relevant printer or mailing house electronically (or labels if you prefer), with data optimised for Presstream (or an alternative) distribution. For smaller, specialist titles, we undertake the despatch of the magazines from ESco through our own mailing department.

Distribution data can be sent as a single file or split into data driven sections to enable regional or other demographic based enclosing activity. Renewal campaigns can be set up for any number of efforts, and electronic renewals are also available for subscribers with email addresses.

Our competent and knowledgeable subs processing team are available by phone Monday to Friday to ensure the best possible customer service for your readers.

All circulation files are managed according to ABC and BPA audit standards, enabling effective completion of your regular ABC and BPA audits – which can be carried out at ESco’s premises if required.

As with all ESco’s services, the suite of reports available to you can be customised according to your specific needs, in order to analyse all activity, from subs acquisitions and renewals, through to demographic profiling of your readership.
