Merry Christmas 2022 from ESco

To you - our clients, partners and friends.

At Christmas time...

Christmas time is here again - which means another year gone by,
Busy working with our busy team, it seems that time just flies.
So, we're grateful for this festive time, to slow down and reflect,
On all the things this year has brought, let's take a moment to recollect…

The lionesses brought football home, prime ministers aplenty,
Over thirteen billion Covid vaccines since December twenty-twenty.
Matt Hancock in the jungle, the hottest summer we've ever seen,
The world fell into mourning for Her Majesty The Queen.

All the while at ESco, we worked (& played) hard this year;
Volunteer work and Santa fun-runs, plus treats for everybody here!
We had new developments and projects, new clients, partners, friends,
To be meeting up with you all again, was the perfect way for the year to end.

We were shortlisted at the PPA & attended our first MemberWise event,
Plus the return of another successful ESco Connect - huge thanks to all who went!
Customer Data Platforms, multinational invoicing & complex tax,
After all these (and more!) achievements it's finally time to relax.

But whilst we settle down with loved ones, it's important to remember,
Not everyone is lucky enough to feel safe at home this December.
Which is why we're donating to Next Chapter and victims of domestic violence,
In order to play a contributing role in ensuring that they are never silenced.

***Please read more about this amazing charity here.***

We're sending you Christmas well wishes, from everybody here,
And to thank you for the partnership we've had with you this year.
So have a Merry Christmas, enjoy the food and festivities,
Please join us as we raise a glass and head for twenty-twenty-three!

Holly

Dear partners, clients and friends...

As I write this, there’s a very frosty chill in the air and snow on the ground. A lovely start to the Christmas season.

During this last year, life has been getting back to normal with everyone joining together again at Trinity House and at the various events we’ve attended throughout the year. And that brings with it a real sense of joy for us because we at ESco believe our relationships are the conduit through which we can enjoy our lives and work successfully together.

We've watched the war in Ukraine unfold this year with such sadness not knowing what we could do, but all wanting to do something. We felt it right to help, albeit in in a small way, by sending a £5,000 donation to the Ukrainian Humanitarian Appeal which went to member charities and their local partners who were responding in Ukraine and local countries. We continue to hope and pray for the end of this war.

At Christmas THIS year, we’ve decided to contribute to a charity close to home. Next Chapter provide free and confidential services to support people who are currently experiencing, or have previously experienced domestic abuse.

They are passionate about ensuring that every person has the opportunity to live their life free from domestic abuse and we wholeheartedly support this mission.

So, as we leave 2022 behind us and approach 2023, we want to wish you all the happiest of Christmases and a year ahead blessed with health, love and happiness.

With love, Susan and all at ESco

Next Chapter (formerly known as Colchester & Tendring Women's Refuge) is a domestic abuse charity working across the areas of Tendring, Colchester, Maldon, Chelmsford, Braintree & Uttlesford. We provide free and confidential services to support people who are currently experiencing or have previously experienced domestic abuse. We are passionate about ensuring that every person has the opportunity to live their life free from domestic abuse. Our vision is for Life without Domestic Abuse with our mission to provide rapid responses to domestic abuse that increase safety for all victims, enabling them to rebuild their lives & create lasting change. We believe in raising awareness through education, training & partnerships in our community. Thank you so much to ESco for your donation. As a small charity, this amount of money will make an enormous difference and impact for us and the work that we are doing. Every penny will be put towards providing vital services for those experiencing domestic abuse. Days out and treats for our young residents, or a pamper session for our ladies, wouldn’t be possible without donations like these. So, we are extremely grateful to ESco for this money, we really can’t thank you enough!

Jo Harbow-Harris, Next Chapter
